As you can see after a brief showing of Spring like weather, this is what it looks like just days after spring officially arrivied.. The drift in the back yard is like what we had a couple of months ago. The other photo is looking out the kitchen window with the snow plastered to the outside by the severe wind that came with the 10" of wet heavy snow.. Now just 1 day after the storm, it is melting with water and mud everywhere.. You just got to love springtime in the rockies.. I do!! Here today gone tomorrow.. I did get the fertilizer down before this free watering !! Now I need to get the lawnmower fixed and look out summer here we come...

Sorry for the delay in the updates!!

I seem to be having problems getting logged on to update this web page. I have tried to resolve the problem with blog.com but because of some miracle I have gotten to this page to allow me to add to the mayhem!!

No new photo's but just a little news to add.. Today is Norma's (aka granny) birthday so it is befitting a son-in-law to say happy birthday to you and many more.. I am not allowed (etiquite) to say how old she is but 75 is about right for this year. Wow 3/4 of a century and still going strong!! we love you Gran!!

Went to the cabin this weekend and did virtually nothing but had a good time doing that. I did get 2/3 of the deck waterproofed with a sealer that had frozen (it got to -35 below up there this winter) it came out a tad curdled but I got some of it done. It was a real pain to clean up the sprayer that I used to apply it so I came home and found a long handled paint roller and a tray to use on the last portion of the deck. That way it is a throw away item and no messy clean-up!! My Mom did teach me to think once in a while you know.. Ha Ha!!

With all the snow gone in the yard and the weather hovering around the 60's it sure has 'spring fever' showing up, so I will have to hold back on the garden planning and planting for a couple of months as the first day of spring is tomorrow you know!!

Smile and remember that "Baseball" is about to arrive in this world and the other grandkids are doing just great so all is good..

Love ya
LD

BOY WERE WE ALL TIRED OR WHAT!!!

Last weekend Becky (Gramma Beck) and myself had the 3 girls for the weekend while their parents took a break in the action.. We beat a snow storm back from Loveland on friday and after the weekend which was non-stop action we all took a break and watched the movie Flushed Away and In Search Of The Castaways! It makes you realize that getting older means you get tired faster and you are a lot slower with your reflexes than you were 30 years ago!!Sometimes it tough to catch Abby when she wants to go where you don't want her to go!! All in all we had a great time and after resting up for a while we will be ready to do it all again at the cabin this time.. Can you imagine chasing after the little ones on 10 acres of property!! Whew I am already tired!!
