SPRINGTIME!!!!

I think only in Laramie, Wy can you have a fire in the wood stove the night before (last night it got down to 17 degrees) and today I went out and mowed the grass and got some fertilizer/weed killer put down!! Now I am hoping for some moisture, hopefully the non-white kind to soak it into the slightly greening grass..

I even split some semi-dry firewood just in case springtime, which I hope is not just an imaginary time to us people that live here in Wyoming really shows up..

I transplanted my tomatoe plants into bigger containers and the seeds I grew are coming along just great with several larger than the others... That must be why I grow 12 of each (cucumbers and squash) because some just don't have the umphh to make it in this here tough climate!!

Baby Reese came to say hello to us when her mom picked up Ryder so we had to show her off to everyone. Still taking medicine thru her leg tube it can't be much fun for her and I know it can't be much fun for Joel and Andrea either. Hopefully it will all be a memory in a while and everything will be back to "normal" with a baby and a really active boy!! Boy am I glad I am old and over that part!! Ha Ha!! It is nice to have them come and visit though as it is nice to see the next generation get started!!

Ryder and Becky are shown playing WoW on the computer.. With little sister Reese needing to stay indoors a lot due to her illness.. Ryder needed an afternoon off so Aunt Becky and himself enjoyed some "fun" time. Loaded up with some juice and cookies he had a good time fishing and killing the bad guys!!

This might be the new General Motors front hood scoop on the 2004 Duramax!! Wind has a strange way of forming things into new shapes and styles..
Roads are all closed and the weather hopefully will break this evening and get back to the 50's by the end of the weekend!! You got to love spring storms!!!

WIND & SNOW

This is what happens when the winds starts to blow about 25-30 mph!! This right above the front door so hopefully when it decides to fall or melt I won't be under it when it happens!!

Burrrrrrrrrrrr when it falls down you neck!

SPRINGTIME!!!!
Just when you start thinking about yardwork and gardening in Laramie this happens..
It has snowed 8" as it shows in that one photo and the trees are full of snow which makes for a nice picture but it is a mess to shovel..
I also have been after the city to grade the road and low and behold guess what they did yesterday before this heavy wet white stuff fell.
The street is going to be a muddy, rutted mess but hey that is what springtime in the rockies is all about isn't it!!
