Memorial Day!!

Time to reflect!! I served in the USN during Vietnam..

My Sister(inlaw)Bonnie yesterday took off her gloves as we were sitting on the field at the cabin (she is the hardest working woman I know in the mountains) and shook my hand thanking me for my service!!

SNOW AND MORE SNOW!!!!

The grandkids and myself with JB co-piloting made a drive up to the top of the Snowy Range on Memorial day to see how deep the snow really is!! 20 feet deep drift is pretty impressive.. On the way back down we stopped at Libby Flats and waded thru some snow to get the 'highest' view that you can get!! Amber liked the binoculars and Abby got to see a RockChuck (whistle pig) and a chipmonk too!!

A little play time in the sand box for Ally!

BASKETBALL ON TV!!! The Denver Nuggets played a game so the 'gang' loaded up on chips and dip and cheered for the 'home' team!!

HUMMERS are sure hungry!! JB captured this hummer as he/she was loading up!! On the left see if you can find that hummer as he approaches the feeder for a reload..

We did manage to do a little work while JB was up. We cleaned up some dead/downed trees and "whittled" on a pile of wood between rain showers!!

The "ALBANY 1000" is a marathon for 2 days.. Even with the 4 wheeler not starting very easy they got in a lot of laps on the race course in those 2 days.

STOCKED UP FRIDGE!!! Jb and the 'girls' are coming to the cabin for Memorial Day so I loaded up the fridge for the 3 day "ALBANY 1000"

Almost done with the house!! Shed left but it looks like we have some equipment failure's that will delay that project till tomorrow.. Oh Dang it would have taken me at least a week to get the house done if not more tearing off the old roof.. These guys work their butts off and I appreciate the work that they do.. Come to find out they were out of fuel in their gas powered air-compressor and were waiting for a "friend" to bring them some!! I had some fuel in the shed so we are back in business and maybe they will get done with 2 gallons of gasoline and a whole lot of effort on their part!! HERE IS THE WARNING!!! I made 2 passes with the little magnet that my step-daughters got met several years ago to attract nail and other tire getters so if you come to the Bean's I reserve no guarantees on the condition of your tires but I sure appreciate your visits!! Adriene come on over and see if I can woop you in bowling or maybe golf, or something!!

New Roof 2009!!

Full truck load!! Going Up!! on the roof!! and stacked!! hope you all enjoy the blue sky and the flowering crap apple tree about to bloom!! Maybe we have reached summer in Laramie??

With the new Wii game we tried golf.. I couldn't even win at that!! How sad is that!!! Boy I need to get with it!!

Notice the resemblance to the Wii golfer and myself!! Wow I am glad I don't look into many mirrors!! If you click on the photo you will see it is stroke 7 on a par 4 arrghhhh!!!

Here is a photo of me getting my behind whupped by my wife! I suspected that she was a closet bowler and now I know!! Aha the secret is now out!! I will be practicing more than ever now!! Beware guys hate to get beat!!

While waiting for either Spring or Summer to show up here in the high country boredom sets in and it means another trip to Wal-Mart!! This time we got a Wii sports and exercise package!! I got whupped 4 out of 4 games of bowling by my wife and even got knocked out when I boxed her.. My controller wasn't working but that is still pretty bad to think I got beat by a 'girl'!! augh!! Today I get to try out driving the Mario game and hopefully I can get in some extra practice while she is at work!!! ha ha!!
