Becky and Abby were sitting on the bar stools during the junior's dart tournament that JB and Amber are in on the right photo!! Sorry there aren't more pic's but the camera battery went dead about this time!! oh well I tried!! While they didn't win the tournament and we didn't correctly guess the number of candy corn in the jar to win a new dart board we sure had a good time with the young ones!! DB Wolf's sports bar and grill sure put on a good tournament for the kids too!! Amber got a pumpkin for participating also!!

Here on the left is Becky and myself in the seats next to the 'tunnel' leading to Visitor's team bench which was just below us 3 seats!! JB and Angie's seats had this view of Super Joe Sakic playing at their end of the rink!! They were 14 rows up but that was a pretty good place to view the action too!!

On the H Train to the Pepsi Center for the Av's Game!!

Here is "the gang" J.B., Angie and Becky all suited up to go see the Av's play the Minnesota Wild at the Pepsi Center.. Final score was 3-1 for the good guys!! Yea and we had a great time with some really good seats too!!

IN THE MOTEL ROOM WITH THE GRAND KIDS!!!

Here I am with the girls and in the next photo it shows Becky with Abby and Ally in the motel room waiting for Dad to show up to claim them back!! With feeding them Rice Crispy treats (also McDonalds food) it was time to send them home all wound up and ready for the day!! Ha Ha!! it is great being the grand parents!!! It was a fun time with the exception of the police officer showing up at the door but hey that is another great story!!

SLOW NEWS DAY IN LARAMIE!!!

You know it a slow news day when you post a photo of new "shoes" as Becky calls them!! I reseached which tires I wanted and which one's I could afford but Becky told me to get what I needed and what are the safest so I decided on the tires I wanted.. Along with a transmission flush and an oil change it was a considerable sum of money but if I can go to work and get home safely then I will appreciate it in the long run!! Thanks Becky

Holy cow look at this!! Is it an air mattress or the real thing?? It is the real thing as we moved our old bed into Becky's room.. We are expecting her cousin Jerry from Missouri and a buddy to visit this weekend so we will leave it here in town till after the new year (that way the kiddo's can finally sleep in a real bed vs the air mattress)!! We will move it up to the cabin to replace the double bed that we currently use and we will move the double upstairs for visitors to use there!! I did set up the airmattress for "the buddy" to use in the computer room by the way!!

One of the drawbacks of being "wounded" is not being able to do the things that I should be able to do, like assemble our new bed!! Here is how they delivered it to the house and these 2 'college' students assembled it!! I just wish I was able to do it and save the $$ but sometimes you aren't able to do what you want!! Remember getting OLD isn't for wooses and boy I wish I wasn't getting older!!! Ole well it is part of life and learning to realize your limits is something that I am thankful for in having my wife to keep me in order!!! Thanks Becky!!!

This the before, during, and after photo's of our new bedroom!! While they are in reverse order it shows the room minus a bed and the second shows Becky determining how it will look and the final results!! Pretty impressive isn't it!! Now it will take some practice getting up in the middle of the night to go to work and navigating out to the kitchen!! I think her and Bonnie did good shopping for and selecting this as our new bedroom!! Thanks!!

Yahoo the Dr's results are in!!

I got the o.k. to drive but can only lift 30 lbs so the first thing I did was go to the grocery store and buy a 10lb bag of spuds!! He drained off some fluid from my belly button (2 syringes full) and said that it was healing nicely.. I have to go back in a week for another check up then back to work (light duty) till November 20th-- 6 weeks from the date of surgery!!

I guess I get to watch the World Series here in my house instead of Green River or worse yet on a train listening on the radio (reception sucks most of the way) so this is not all bad news..

So hopefully the Cleveland Indians will pull off another victory tomorrow and it will be all set and ready to PLAY BALL!

till later

ROCKIES DO IT AGAIN!!!

It was a late night watching the baseball games yesterday but it was sure worth it.. The Dbacks tried to make it a game at the end but once again "the breaks" went to the Purple and Black...

Now everyone can officially talk about the World Series as they have done their part by sweeping the NLCS..

Now I have to pull for the Cleveland Indians tonight!!

Go Rockies!!!

THANKS!!!

To all of you who have checked on my status I want to say thanks and I want to let you know that I am progressing well towards healing.. While it is still uncomfortable to 'stretch' the muscles in the belly and coughing and sneezing aren't the nicest things to do I think the recovery is going very well!! I will know on wednesday for sure when the Dr checks me out and lets me know how long I will be on 'light' duty!!

This weekend was a lazy one here and quiet seeings how Tyler and Cody departed for home so I got to lounge around and watch baseball and football to my hearts content!!

How about them Rockies!!! It was a bad day for the regional football teams though as the Laramie Plainsmen, Wyoming Cowboys, CSU Rams all lost their football games but hey we still have the Rockies to pull us through!!

Now I have to start thinking who I want to win in the ALCS series seeings how they might, I repeat MIGHT, be the next challenge for the 20-1 streaking Colorado Rockies!!

I hope tonight will be the clincher but you never know?? I watched a brief few minutes of the Denver 9 news this morning and them idiots need to remember that the CR's haven't won the NLCS yet so stop talking about the World Series till they get there!! nuf said!!

Thanks againg for the thoughts and best wishes from everyone I appreciate it a lot!!

DAY 3 & 4

Just a quick update on the health progress with the days just zooming by!! Of course I'm on vacation so that is probably why.. Yesterday (day 3) was much more enjoyable than the previous days and today I expect it to be even better. I got to sleep on my side instead of my back so I did get some actual sleep which helps a lot. Other than some redness where they shaved the hair off and put the orange/yellow stuff on it I think it is healing just like it should. But who am I to know that is why I go see the doctor on Wednesday!
Cody and Tyler are here for a visit on their 2 week adventure and I have been really good in not bending and lifting like the instruction said. So I have been sitting back and observing how busy younger people are!! WOW does he go till the batteries run down!! Kinda reminds me of the Denver girls..
Today Gramma, Cody, and Tyler are off on an adventure to Check out the Caboose train store and they should return home in time for the baseball games tonight...

How about them Rockies!!

THE DAY AFTER!!!

Well it is day 2 after the 'belly button' repair that took place yesterday afternoon.. Everything is progressing fine (slow but fine) with only the discomfort of certain motions that every normal person does everyday of his/her life!! Auggg!!! Bending over and getting into a chair are the worst with bending over definately out of the picture for a week at least!!
With a list of "do's and don't's" Becky is making sure that I stick to it 100%.. Thanks Becky cuz sometimes I don't always do what I am suppose to do...
I will have 3 weeks to get healed up so I can get back to the 'heavy' chores that I am sure will need to be done. Firewood hauled in and probably snow to be shoveled as fall is rapidly changing into the winter mode here in Laramie!!
I moved everything thing that I thought needed packed up before the surgery and got the leaves mulched but alas the wind is still blowing and the leaves are still falling so it looks like they will just have to wait to get 'chopped' up with the mower one last time.
I am sure I will know everything that is on TV during the day as I can't drive till next Wednesday after I see the Dr.

Boring!!!

FALL AT ALBANY, WY

These are some photo's that JB took this weekend while we were up at the cabin.. We finished cutting off the stumps of the trees that we cut down over the last month. That is about all we can do without help from the 'pro's' to finish the beetle killed trees and spraying of the healthly trees to protect them from the upcoming release of the pine bark beetles next spring or early summer. These aspen trees that are this pretty golden color have yet to attract a 'bug' to destroy them so with any luck they will survive to give us years of this beautiful color show!!
